St Anselm’s RC church is inviting all Christians of any demonation to join in their prayers...

An Oasis of Calm…
Kathy Forsdyke writes: Recently a group of us at St Anselm’s RC church have been meeting on a Tuesday at 7.00 pm in the church for prayer time (being finished by 7.30pm).   We spend ten to fifteen minutes in group prayer and then have fifteen minutes silent contemplation in the church.  Lent will soon be upon us and we plan to include “The stations of the Cross” in our weekly prayers; this is a traditional catholic prayer, following the footsteps of Christ’s passion in Jerusalem leading to His crucifixion.  We have all found our weekly prayer time to be an oasis of calm in our week, with time to pray for all those we know, love and care about.  We would like to extend a welcome to anyone from Earls Barton (and surrounding villages) to join us if they would like to.  There is no need to make a commitment to come every week, or to be a catholic, but is an opportunity to find time for God in the week.
